Will Justin Bieber Look Up YouTube Videos at the FIFA Halftime Show?

The 2026 FIFA World Cup has had a great run. It introduced amazing goalkeepers like Vozinha to a global audience, scored massive ratings in the U.S., and added to the legend of several already iconic players like Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland. But you know what it was still missing? Some swag. Luckily, Justin Bieber is there to provide. Bieber is now going to co-headline the World Cup final’s first ever halftime show, FIFA confirmed today. “The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world,” Bieber said in a statement.

The event, curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, will also be headlined by the previously announced Madonna, BTS, and Shakira. Also appearing are Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus — a chorus of fourth- and fifth-graders from Staten Island — featuring Coldplay.

This is a major stage for Bieber, who not long ago seemed potentially done with performing live. He canceled his 2022 Justice World Tour halfway through due to his Ramsay Hunt diagnosis and stayed off the stage for three years. After releasing albums SWAG and SWAG II in 2025, he returned by first performing at the Grammy Awards in his boxers. Then, he headlined Coachella this year, where he famously looked up his old songs on YouTube to sing along to them. Maybe he’ll do that here, too.
