‘Expectations’ Were High for the Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan Collab

Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan have released the music video for their remix of Rodrigo’s song “expectations.” The collab was announced earlier this week with an Instagram post. Rodrigo shared a pic of her and Roan posing atop a car with the license plate “XPECT8NS.” The car turned out to be a prize on a game show hosted by none other than David Byrne. Roan supported Rodrigo on the Sour and Guts tours, so it makes sense they’re continuing the friendship on the remix. Roan also performed at Rodrigo’s first ever Daisy Chain Fields Festival, which raised $20 million for feminist charities. Roan has her own fundraiser coming. The Super Graphic Spectacular will be a two-day fest for Roan’s charity, the Midwest Princess Project, which benefits trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities. Expected performers include Muna and Caroline Polachek.

Besides doing remixes, Roan has been partying for a cause. She was one of several celebs to go to The Abbey for National PrEP Day. Roan attended alongside Kesha, Christina Aguilera, Charli XCX, and Tinashe — who is also performing on Night One of the Super Graphic Spectacular. Gay rights!
