Shamrock Rovers will host Shelbourne on Sunday in what is sure to be a pivotal evening in the race for the League of Ireland Premier Division title.

The Tallaght Stadium clash will see Damien Duff’s league leaders travel across the city to take on Stephen Bradley’s fourth placed side.

Currently there are five points between the two teams with just four games left to play, but both sides’ form in recent times has been patchy.

Shelbourne have won just one of their last nine league games, stretching back to June 28, against Dundalk at Oriel Park. Rovers have won four of their last nine league games and have just kicked off their Europa Conference League campaign with a draw against APOEL Nicosia.

The Hoops are chasing an unprecedented five-in-a-row, having equalled their 1980s four-in-a-row achievement last year.
