What time and TV channel is Scotland v Wales on in the Six Nations today?
by Michael Scully · Irish MirrorScotland have won the last two Six Nations meetings of the Celtic cousins but there is nothing straightforward about the visit of Wales to Edinburgh.
The Welsh extended their record-breaking losing streak to 15 a fortnight ago. While moral victories are much maligned these days, their performance was a good example of one.
With only four on-field sessions with interim head coach Matt Sherratt, the Welsh shrugged off all the negativity of the past 18 months to lead table-toppers Ireland by 10 points early in the second half.
As they often do, Ireland found the right response to claim a 27-18 victory but the Welsh coaches, players and fans left the Principality Stadium feeling much better about themselves and the future of this team.
Can they take the next step? They are playing a Scotland team badly in need of a win. Gregor Townsend's side beat Italy at Murrayfield in the first round but were then comfortably beaten at home by Ireland before suffering a last-minute loss to England at Twickenham last time out.
That leaves them in fourth place on six points - and that's a long way from their annual ambition to challenge for the silverware on offer.

Anniversary
For encouragement, the Scots can look back on their last home meeting with the Welsh. Their 35-7 victory was the biggest victory in the 142 year history of the fixture. They also haven't lost back to back home games in the Six Nations since 2021. On the flipside, Scotland haven't beaten their rivals back to back at home in 30 years.
Wales are just three days off the two-year anniversary of their last win in the championship and, if they lose this game, they will host England next weekend hoping to avoid a 16th loss on the spin - an unwanted run that would equal Italy's championship record.
The Scots are also boosted by the return of flying winger Darcy Graham, who suffered that sickening head clash with colleague Finn Russell in the Ireland defeat.
The hosts are fancied to return to winning ways here but another loss would send them to Paris for the final round next week the back of a three-game losing streak.
“We’ve just got to focus on how we get the victory, how we build on what we did well against England,” Townsend said. “And we’re going to not think of anything else outside of that.”
