In the hours before his death, Liam reportedly posted a video on Snapchat saying: "It’s a lovely day here in Argentina." The singer, who shared 7-year-old son Bear with ex Cheryl Cole, had been in the country with girlfriend Kate Cassidy but she wasn't in Argentina on the day of his death.

Liam formed boy band One Direction in 2010, alongside Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles, after they individually auditioned for The X Factor. After becoming one of the biggest pop groups in the world, with five albums and four world tours, they went on indefinite hiatus in 2016.

The remaining members of One Direction united to share an emotional joint statement last Thursday night, with Louis Tomlinson later sharing an emotional promise for Liam's seven-year-old son, Bear, in a personal tribute. Niall Horan, who met up with Liam in Argentina recently, shared details of his final hug with his late bandmate on Friday morning.

Over the weekend, his ex-girlfriend Danielle Peazer also took to her social media to reveal the final message he sent her weeks before his death. Meanwhile, Liam's father is determined to stay by his side while waiting to bring his body back home to his heartbroken family.
