PM Modi in Mumbai Today News Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Mumbai on Wednesday, October 29, to address the Maritime Leaders Conclave and chair the Global Maritime CEO Forum at India Maritime Week (MW) 2025, at the NESCO Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The forum will serve as a key platform for dialogue on sustainable maritime growth, resilient supply chains, green shipping, and inclusive blue economy strategies. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had inaugurated the India Maritime Week – 2025 on Monday.

Traffic restrictions: The Mumbai Traffic Police has advised Mumbaikars to follow temporary traffic restrictions on the Western Express Highway, to “ensure smooth vehicular movement and security of VVIP convoys, as well as to avoid traffic congestion,” as per a release. The movement of ‘Heavy Motor Vehicles’ (HMVs) is completely prohibited on both South and North bound carriageways of the WEH, from Vakola Flyover to Dahisar Toll Naka, between 2 pm and 9 pm today.

Mumbai Weather Today: Mumbai is unlikely to get respite from unseasonal rains soon, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has extended the yellow alert for Mumbai till 8:30 am on October 30 (Thursday). According to the weather agency, the city is likely to experience thunderstorms coupled with lightning and moderate rain until Thursday morning, following which, the intensity of showers is likely to recede. A yellow alert has been issued for Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts. Meanwhile, for the Palghar district, a yellow alert has been kept in place till the morning of October 31 (Friday).
