They have deleted 65 lakh voters’ names in Bihar. Should they be allowed to hide behind their posts? Is it good that they live a peaceful life post-retirement? Should people forget them?” Gandhi asked the people gathered at the rally.
‘Putting katta to their heads’: Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday asserted that voters in Bihar were avoiding the RJD-led opposition because they feared that if the INDIA bloc came to power, its government would rule through intimidation, “putting a katta (country-made gun) to their heads.” Addressing a rally in Sitamarhi district ahead of the state elections, the Prime Minister contrasted this with the NDA’s focus on encouraging start-ups, improving education, and promoting growth in areas such as sports.

Rahul claims ‘vote chori’ in Bihar polls: Claiming that there were reports from Bihar strengthening the evidence of “vote chori”, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that the main culprits in this “murder of democracy” are the chief election commissioner and the two election commissioners who are committing the “biggest treachery against the Constitution”.

The final turnout in the first phase of the Bihar assembly polls is 65.08 per cent, the highest in the state's history, the Election Commission said.
A total of 3.75 crore people were eligible to cast their votes at 45,341 polling stations, including 36,733 in rural areas, on November 6 to decide the electoral fate of 1,314 candidates, of whom 1,192 are men and 122 women.
As per the latest update provided by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Bihar, the "historic" turnout of 65.08 per cent is 7.79 per cent more than the consolidated polling percentage of the previous assembly polls held in 2020, when 57.29 per cent of the electors had cast their votes.
