NDC BOWS TO PRESSURE: Obuasi SHTS Headmaster Forced to Quit Chairman Race Over Sexual Abuse Allegations

The Governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has succumbed to pressure from Ghanaians and has therefore directed the headmaster in the middle of the ongoing sexual abuse at the Obuasi Senior High Technical to withdraw from the Chairmanship contest in Juaben.

This comes after the party cleared him to contest the chairmanship position, even though the multimedia documentary on his alleged abuse of some female students had been aired.

A party statement said the decision to let him step aside is to allow an unhindered investigation into the matter.

It indicated that this in no way is a determination of the merits of the allegations against Mr Abdulai.

The party said it trusts that the CID will conduct a thorough investigation which they say they will be guided by.
