Argentina stun England with late comeback to reach World Cup final

Argentina came from behind again to beat England and reach their second straight World Cup final.

It looked like England were going to win after Anthony Gordon’s goal gave them the lead late in the second half. But the defending world champions fought back once again.

First, Enzo Fernandez scored from 20 yards with a brilliant shot that beat Jordan Pickford to make it 1-1. Then Lautaro Martinez scored in stoppage time to complete another famous comeback victory.

Argentina will now face Spain in Sunday’s World Cup final as they try to become only the third country to successfully defend the World Cup title.
