Elmaghrabi to referee Cameroon vs Malawi WAFCON 2026 final

Egyptian referee Shahenda Saad Ali Elmaghrabi has been appointed as the centre referee for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 final between Cameroon and Malawi on Sunday, August 16.

The final will be played at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT).

The 35-year-old will officiate at her third consecutive WAFCON, having also taken charge of matches at the 2022 and 2024 editions, both hosted by Morocco.

Elmaghrabi has considerable experience at the continental level. She has officiated at every edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League Continental Finals and served as the fourth official for the inaugural final in 2021.

In 2022, she became the first female referee to officiate in the Egyptian Premier League when she took charge of the match between Smouha and Pharco.

She will be assisted by a multinational team for Sunday’s final.
