Manhyia chiefs visit Asante Kotoko players ahead of Super Clash

by · MyNewsGh.com

A group from Manhyia Palace visited the Asante Kotoko team to encourage them before Sunday’s Super Clash against Hearts of Oak.

The Porcupine Warriors shared the news on their socials.

They said the group was led by the Manhyia Palace Chief of Staff, Mr Kofi Badu; the Offinsomanhene, Nana Dwamena Akenten II; the Bantamahene, Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI; and other traditional leaders.

The visit was to give the players support before one of the season’s big games.

Kotoko has had a tough month. They lost 3-1 to Heart of Lions and were knocked out of the FA Cup after losing 4-2 on penalties to Aduana FC at Baba Yara Stadium last Sunday.

After the FA Cup loss, head coach Karim Zito stepped down. The team now wants to recover.

As they get ready to face their rivals at home, Kotoko hope to bounce back. The match will start at 17:00 GMT on Sunday.
