· RNZHomes in several suburbs in Auckland are still without water after a water main burst on Thursday.
The suburbs include Henderson, Henderson Valley, Glen Eden, Oratia, Kauriland and McLaren Park.
Watercare said may experience low water pressure or no water at all until the fault is repaired
Up to 3000 homes were still without water on Friday morning, Watercare said.
A fix was originallt expected to take 24 hours.
Water tankers are available on several streets.
- 391 Henderson Valley Road, Henderson Valley
- 255 Henderson Valley Road, Henderson,
Corner of Archibald Road and Netherlands Avenue, Kelston
Watercare has asked residents with low water pressure to save water if possible, and avoid using their dishwasher or washing machine over the next 24 hours. It also advised keeping shorts short - four minutes or less.
A section of Mountain Road has been closed off to traffic in both directions, and Watercare expect it to remain that way for at least 48 hours.
