Emergency services, including paramedics and a rescue helicopter, were sent to Forresters Beach, on the Central Coast, about 6pm on Tuesday, April 7.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter said crews responded to an incident involving a young child who had been scalded by hot water.
The girl suffered burns to her face, neck, chest and arms, a NSW Ambulance spokesperson said.
Paramedics and the helicopter's critical care medical team assessed the child at the scene before she was flown to a children's hospital in Sydney for further treatment.
Separately, the Westpac helicopter was called on Sunday, April 5, to assist a woman believed to be aged in her 70s who almost drowned while scuba diving at Nelson Bay.
The patient was transported by private boat to meet paramedics and the helicopter's critical care medical team, before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
