Homicide inquiry after death in Andersons Bay

Detective Inspector Shona Low said emergency services were called to the property Somerville St, Andersons Bay, at 5.50pm today.
‘‘Upon arrival a person was located deceased,’’ she said.
One person was arrested there and taken into custody.
A scene guard was in place tonight and there is not thought to be any risk to the public, she said.
A Marne St resident said they believed someone had died at a nearby property.
‘‘There’s a lot of police including the guys in white head to toe suits are at the house."
The street was usually peaceful, they said.
‘‘I cannot believe [this] would take place here... it’s inconceivable.’’
They said they had not heard anything of note until emergency services came down the street.
Cordons were in place blocking off Marne St tonight.
There was a large police presence in the area as officers worked to determine the circumstances of the incident.
The scene guard would remain while the examination was under way.
