'Several' people killed in explosion in bar: reports

The blast occurred at 1.30am on New Year's Day, in a bar called Le Constellation, police said in a statement to the BBC.
Swiss police spokesman Gaetan Lathion confirmed the explosion was fatal, in a report by AFP.
"There has been an explosion of unknown origin," AFP quoted him as saying.
"There are several injured, and several dead."
He said the explosion happened about 1.30am local time, in the bar that was popular with tourists, as revellers rang in the new year.
The report also quoted him as saying more than 100 people were in the building and they were "seeing many injured and many dead".
Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
