The case stemmed from allegations made by VeryDarkMan, who accused Blord of using his image for an unauthorised advertisement.
Following Blord’s court appearance on April 1, Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, the judge, ordered his remand at the Kuje Correctional Center until April 27, 2026.

The judge also cautioned him against making public statements about the case before adjourning the matter until April 27 for a hearing.
Sowore had previously condemned what he called the “celebration” of Blord’s incarceration and vowed to work toward having the case dropped and Blord released.
This, however, led to a fiery response from VeryDarkMan, who berated Sowore for not reaching out to discuss the matter privately.
VeryDarkMan also issued a stern warning that he would not hesitate to send the activist to prison if the activist impersonated him, as Blord did.
