Netflix confirms 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' sequel with directors Kaggie Kang and Chris Appelhans

Netflix has finally confirmed the production of a 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' sequel. Directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans will take the reins once again, having signed what has been described as a "multi-year writing and directing partnership" with Netflix. 

Originally released on June 20, 2025, 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' exploded upon its release, going on to become the most-watched Netflix film of all time within the same year. Its success led to two nominations at the 'Oscars' - 'Best Animated Feature' and 'Best Original Song' with its lead track "Golden" - while "Golden" also went on to win a 'Grammy' for 'Best Song Written for Visual Media'.
