NCT's Winwin is officially parting ways with the group and his agency, SM Entertainment. The company confirmed the news in a statement on July 8.

Winwin's exclusive contract will conclude on July 9, 2026, after which he will end all activities as a member of NCT. SM Entertainment thanked him for his decade with the company, from his trainee days, and offered support for his next chapter.

Following the news, Winwin posted a long letter to fans on his personal Instagram. He looked back on the past ten years, saying that while there were hard times, they were mostly filled with happiness and joy.

He described the decade as something that "will remain as the most precious memories of my life for a long time," and thanked fans. He added that he would not forget his original dream and would keep growing, wishing peace and luck to everyone reading the letter.

Born in 1997, Winwin debuted with NCT 127 in 2016 and was also active with the Chinese unit WayV. After his departure, along with those of Taeil and Mark, NCT 127 will continue as a seven-member group.
