Veteran singer Lee Hyun is continuing his long-standing relationship with BIGHIT MUSIC. On July 8, the HYBE label officially announced that it has renewed its exclusive contract with the artist, marking 19 years of partnership since their first agreement in 2007.

BIGHIT MUSIC shared a statement on the renewal, highlighting the significance of their enduring bond. "It is very meaningful to continue our relationship with an artist who has been with us since the company's early days," the agency stated. "Based on the solid trust we've built over 19 years, we plan to actively support Lee Hyun's activities."

Lee Hyun also expressed his thoughts on the decision. "I have renewed my contract with BIGHIT MUSIC, my musical home and most reliable partner," he said. "As always, this was based on our deep trust and respect for each other. I want to show my fans, who wait for my music, more frequent and active promotions. I will become a singer who constantly communicates through music."

Lee Hyun first signed with the agency, then known as Big Hit Entertainment, in 2007 and debuted as a member of the co-ed group 8Eight, produced by HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk. The group released several beloved hits, including "Without a Heart" and "Goodbye is Coming." In 2010, he formed the duo Homme with 2AM's Lee Changmin, scoring a major hit with "I Was Able to Eat Well." He also established himself as a powerful solo vocalist with his 2011 hit, "You Are the Best of My Life."

More recently, Lee Hyun expanded his musical horizons in 2023 by releasing the digital single "Masquerade" under his alter ego, Midnatt. The track notably gained attention for being released in six languages. In 2025, he released his third mini-album, 'A(e)nd,' featuring the title track "At This Point."
