BTS will hold a comeback live show at Gwanghwamun Square.

On February 3rd KST, BigHit Music announced, “BTS will hold ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ at 8 PM on March 21st at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul.”

The event has been arranged to celebrate the release of BTS’ new album ‘ARIRANG.’ During the show, the group will unveil stages of their new songs, including the title track, for the first time at Gwanghwamun Square, one of Korea’s most representative locations.

In particular, this marks the first time a pop music artist has held a solo performance at Gwanghwamun Square. Through this stage, BTS is set to establish another milestone in Korean cultural history.

Back in 2020, BTS performed against the backdrop of Geunjeongjeon and Gyeonghoeru at Gyeongbokgung Palace as part of ‘BTS Week’ on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC.

Taking place in the heart of the city about five and a half years later, this concert is expected to mark a special moment signaling BTS’ new beginning.

In addition, ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ will be held in collaboration with Netflix. It will be the first time a major event held in Korea is broadcast live to over 190 viewing regions worldwide through Netflix, also making BTS the first to do so.

Netflix will also exclusively release the documentary film ‘BTS: THE RETURN’ on March 27th. The documentary captures the group’s musical reflections and the process of completing “the BTS of today” as they release a new album for the first time in about 3 years and 9 months.

BigHit Music explained, “The new album ‘ARIRANG’ contains BTS’ starting point, identity, and the emotions they wish to convey now. Given the symbolic meaning of the word ‘Arirang,’ we wanted to hold the first stage in a location that represents Korea.”

Meanwhile, BTS will release their 5th full album ‘ARIRANG’ at 1 PM on March 20th. The album contains 14 tracks reflecting the team’s identity.
