DAY6's Dowoon opens up to fans following recent dating rumors

During DAY6's 10th-anniversary tour 'The Decade' encore concert at the KSPO DOME in Seoul on July 3, drummer Dowoon took a moment to sincerely address the audience. He apologized to fans, saying, "I promised to only show you my good sides as a celebrity, but I feel like I keep failing to keep that promise, and I am sorry for that." However, he warmly reassured them by adding, "But my heart hasn't changed once in the past 10 years."

Dowoon expressed his deep gratitude and love, sharing that his main purpose is to be a source of strength and help to the fans. He also strongly reaffirmed his dedication to his activities with DAY6, declaring, "I will do this for the rest of my life. Please watch over me. I will keep my promises and do my best not to cause any harm to those around me."

His emotional speech follows dating and marriage rumors from May that linked him to YouTuber Yoo Ji Yoo (the younger sister of internet star Yoo Hye Joo). The rumors began spreading online due to photos of alleged matching "couple items," sightings of her dog in his car, and unconfirmed claims of them visiting a wedding planner.

While his agency, JYP Entertainment, did not release an official statement regarding the rumors at the time, Dowoon personally took to social media to comfort fans. He promised that DAY6 would "never disappear," urged fans to ignore malicious posts, and apologized for causing them any pain. Dowoon debuted as the drummer for the hit band in 2015.
