Global girl group KATSEYE to release documentary film 'KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS' this August

Global girl group KATSEYE is bringing their formation story to the big screen with a documentary film.

HYBE-Geffen Records announced on July 8 that the documentary 'KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS' will open in theaters worldwide on August 12. Details on specific countries and theaters will be announced later.

The film traces the members' journey through the audition program 'The Debut: Dream Academy' and their formation as a group. It follows their growth on the global stage and the bond between the group and their fandom, EYEKONS.

The documentary features unreleased behind-the-scenes footage, fan-filmed content, and interviews with the members.

The project is produced by Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures, the team behind the Netflix series 'Popstar Academy,' and directed by Nadia Hallgren, who earned four Emmy nominations for Michelle Obama's documentary 'Becoming.'

A poster released with the announcement features the members and the tagline 'A Love Letter to the EYEKONS.'

KATSEYE is a multinational girl group formed through a joint project between HYBE and Geffen Records, with members from the United States, Korea, the Philippines, and Switzerland. Since their 2024 debut, they have performed at festivals like Lollapalooza and Coachella.

After the documentary's release, KATSEYE will put out their third EP, 'WILD,' on August 14.
