On March 20 KST, Close Your Eyes member Jang Yeojun confounded fans with a cryptic anecdote shared via Weverse DM.

He wrote:

"Say hypothetically

You're better at growing apples than A.

The next door neighbor, who owns an apple farm, agreed that you are better at growing apples.

While A was just having fun and not working, you worked hard so you could be better at growing apples.

But suddenly, your father, the owner of an apple farm, gave A the entire farm and just threw you the scraps!

The customers who buy apples from the farm have no idea how good you are at growing apples!

How would you feel?

Isn't this what you would call an 'unfair situation'?"

He continued:

"Oh-ho so you all would rather go

and start your own farm.

That's smart. There's really no reason to work on the farm if you're just going to be treated like that.

It's better to find another path.

Since the apple growing business suits you,

that you should find another farm to work in.

Well anyways, did you eat?"

The idol's cryptic anecdote triggered numerous speculations among fans and onlookers. Some wondered if Jang Yeojun was seemingly calling out another member of his group for receiving "preferential treatment", while others conjectured that the idol may have been targeting Close Your Eyes's producer, Lee Hae In, who recently launched her own label to produce a new line of K-Pop acts.
