BTS's 'ARIRANG' achieves the most first-day streams of any K-pop album in Spotify history, breaking multiple chart records

In just one day, BTS's long-awaited comeback has already broken multiple records.

One day after the release of BTS's full album 'ARIRANG,' Spotify announced that the album has now become the most-streamed K-pop album in Spotify's history and the most-streamed album in a single day in 2026.

Marking BTS's first comeback in almost four years, 'ARIRANG' has made an explosive debut. The album swept almost every music chart soon after its release, including the notoriously-impenetrable MELON's Top 100. Title track 'SWIM' quickly hit the #1 spot on domestic charts Bugs, Genie, FLO, and MELON. 

'ARIRANG' has also achieved immensely successful physical sales numbers: in just one day, Hanteo Chart reported that the album had surpassed almost 4 million sales.

Internationally, 'SWIM' has reached the top spot on the iTunes Top Songs charts in over 90 regions, with the album itself hitting #1 on the iTunes Top Albums charts in over 88 regions.

BTS has also just become the first group in history to occupy the entire top 14 spots on the Global Spotify chart.

With 'ARIRANG' having been released only one day ago, BTS's comeback has already broken multiple records. BTS continues to prove their legendary status as they make their long-awaited comeback with 'ARIRANG.'
