Singer Baekhyun has secured a legal victory against a malicious commenter who spread false information and defamatory remarks about him, with the offender receiving a fine.

On December 18, Baekhyun’s agency INB100 released an official statement updating fans on the status of its ongoing legal actions. “We would like to inform you of the progress regarding our legal response to the spread of false information and malicious posts related to Baekhyun, the agency said, adding that “meaningful legal judgments have already been made in some cases.”

Baekhyun’s side has been pursuing legal action against malicious commenters under multiple charges, including defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, insult, and violations of the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes.

According to the agency, one case filed with the Seoul Gwangjin Police Station on charges including insult resulted in a confirmed fine. Meanwhile, additional cases submitted to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station in May and to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Cyber Investigation Unit in September, including allegations related to stalking crimes, are currently under investigation.

INB100 emphasized that while the legal process may take time, updates will continue to be shared. “Although complaints and investigations require time, we will promptly provide updates on their progress,” the agency stated. “Our internal monitoring system operates at all times, and we sincerely thank fans for their continued interest and cooperation.”

Meanwhile, Baekhyun is set to meet fans at his encore concert 'Reverie dot,' scheduled to take place from January 2 to 4, 2026, at Seoul’s KSPO Dome.
