Australian cricketer David Warner joins the cast of Robinhood for Telugu film debut
Former Australian cricketer David Warner is set to make his Indian cinema debut with a cameo in Telugu actor Nithiin's film, Robinhood. This development was confirmed by producer Ravi Shankar during the pre-release event of GV Prakash's Kingston in Hyderabad.

David’s much-anticipated cameo appearance was confirmed by Ravi during the pre-release event of GV Prakash’s upcoming film, Kingston, in Hyderabad.
The event - which saw the presence of actor Nithiin and director Venky Kudumula - had producer Ravi giving fans an update on their forthcoming project, Robinhood. While addressing the rumours, he said, “David Warner has made a cameo in the film, it’ll be exciting”. This is a big story in entertainment news.
David enjoys a massive fan following in the Telugu states, courtesy his association with SunRisers Hyderabad. Interestingly, the cricketer has often put forth his admiration for Telugu cinema. His viral Instagram reels have featured him grooving to Allu Arjun’s tracks from Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Pushpa. This too helped him become an instant hit with the moviegoers. According to reports, David filmed his cameo in September 2024 when the film was being shot in Australia.
While the cricketer has often made headlines for speculations around his entry into Telugu films, the producer gave his official confirmation it at the Kingston event. For the unversed, GV Prakash Kumar’s Kingston revolves around a fisherman who challenges the mysterious forces to avert villagers from entering the sea. The film will be released on March 7.
Meanwhile, Robinhood, is set to release on March 28. It was initially slated for December 25 release. The film features Sreeleela as the female protagonist and its music has been composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Besides Robinhood, Nithiin will also be working on Thammudu, directed by Venu Sriram.
