Ramayana is one of the biggest Hindi movies, which is all set to release next year. Ever since the project was announced, the audience has been curious about how the Hindu mythological drama will be presented on screen. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ramayana and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. Now, the movie's producers have made some interesting revelations about Tiwari's passion project.

Namit Malhotra, who is backing one of the most expensive Hindi films, has discussed the vision they have with Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. Namit and VFX studio DNEG have worked on movies like Interstellar and Dune and hence, the expectations from Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi's film are quite high. About the same, Malhotra said, "I do not doubt that it does (have the potential). In fact, it’s down to us and how we can actually bring it to the world. And that is where there’s a massive responsibility in doing that."

With the mythological drama, Namit believes Indian storytelling will be presented at a global level. "I’m keen to not just make India proud but excite the world about Indian storytelling and really celebrate global cinema together. It’s not like we don’t like Hollywood films. It’s not like we don’t see an Oppenheimer and have a great feeling, or a Forest Gump, or any of these, you know, landmark films. Their stories are universal. I believe this is universal too," revealed Malhotra.

Along with Ranbir and Sai, the movie also stars South star Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The film also stars Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chadha, and Ravi Dubey and will hit theatres during Diwali next year.
