Bigg Boss 18 wrapped up on January 19 with Karan Veer Mehra emerging as the show’s winner. Vivian Dsena claimed the first runner-up spot while Rajat Dalal secured the second runner-up position. Avinash Mishra made it to the top five, but couldn’t make it to the top three. The actor did receive a lot of praise for his gameplay and was even called 'mastermind', but he could not win the show. In a recent interview, Avinash reflected on his Bigg Boss 18 journey, the contestants, friendships he forged and more.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Avinash Mishra spoke about Karan Veer Mehra. Post the Bigg Boss 18 win, Karan had made a post on social media taking a subtle dig at '12 saal wale dost' Vivian Dsena. In the interview, Avinash shared his reaction and said that Karan Veer Mehra doesn’t need to talk about the contestants anymore. Avinash Mishra appreciated Karan Veer and called him a 'well-deserving' winner, but he feels that KVM should stop discussing about the past events as it is not working in his favour.

Avinash Mishra said, "Wo Vivian ke liye likh raha hai. Dusre interviews mein people are questioning how are things between you and other contestants. Abhi bhi wo questions ghuma raha hai. Abhi wo upfront hoke bol sakta hai. Abhi he is not in the game. Abhi dimaag lagaake bolne ki zarurat nahi hai. Just be very upfront that mera aisa chal raha hai." Avinash also emphasized on the fact that there was no need for Karan to get into a controversy with Rajat Dalal.
