A presidential travel maneuver dating back to the Clinton era resurfaced this year, when Donald Trump reportedly used a decoy aircraft to leave Turkey undetected.

Both times, the White House said the president was on the regular Air Force One while he was actually flying on a second, unmarked plane.

Trump did it leaving Turkey in July over Iranian threats. Clinton did it 25 years earlier, slipping into Pakistan on a plane trailing the decoy.
