Bad Bunny Just Won His First Emmy for the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and Took Home 7 in Total

Bad Bunny’s halftime show won 7 Emmys, the most any Super Bowl performance has ever taken home. He picked up his statue as both the star and a producer, and it’s the first Spanish-language show to win the top variety-special prize.
Seven Emmys went to The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny, more than any halftime show in Emmy history and better than double the 3 the 2022 Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Eminem set pulled in.
The wins came Saturday (Sept. 5) on night one of the Creative Arts Emmys at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, where the show also led every program in total awards. It took outstanding variety special (live) plus music direction, directing, sound mixing, choreography, lighting design and technical direction and camerawork.

Only one other halftime show has ever won the top variety-special Emmy, and Bad Bunny’s is the first Spanish-language program to claim it.
The trophy lands seven months after he became the first artist to win album of the year at the Grammys for a Spanish-language record, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. A second Bad Bunny project won that same night: the Season 51 opener of Saturday Night Live he hosted took outstanding makeup for a variety, nonfiction or reality program.
