FCT, Abuja - President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tinubu emerged as the APC presidential candidate for the 2027 general election after his victory across the country.
The President emerged with a total of 10,999,967 votes, while his major contender Stanley Osifo garnered 16,504 votes in the party’s nationwide primary election.
As reported by The Punch, during the ongoing national collation of results at the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
The results were drawn from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Governors of 31 states, alongside other senior party figures serving as state coordinators and collation officers, presented the outcomes of the direct primaries to the Presidential Primary Election Committee, chaired by former Senate President Pius Anyim.
The North-West also delivered overwhelming support for the President. Kaduna produced one of the highest figures.
In the North-Central region, President Tinubu maintained a wide lead across the 6 states and the FCT.
The South-East and South-South zones equally produced impressive numbers for President Tinubu during the nationwide presidential primaries.
In the South-West, Tinubu recorded commanding victories in key states considered strongholds of the party.
The North-West also delivered overwhelming support for President Tinubu, with Kaduna State producing one of the highest figures.
APC announces winner of presidential primaries
Recall that President Tinubu secured victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election with 814,988 votes.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced President Tinubu's overwhelming win over Stanley Osifo in Lagos State.
The APC presidential primary election took place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, demonstrating strong support for Tinubu.

APC primary: Tinubu's challenger loses top state
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that President Tinubu defeated his opponent, Stanley Osifo, in Bayelsa State during the APC presidential primary election.
Tinubu polled 277,192 votes against his opponent, who scored only five votes ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Osifo, a businessman from Edo state, is expected to poll a reasonable number of votes in Bayelsa, considering the fact that the oil-rich state was part of his South-South region.
