Mohamed Salah named in Liverpool squad for Brighton game after talks with Arne Slot
LIVERPOOL – Star forward Mohamed Salah has been named in the Liverpool squad that will face Brighton over the weekend after showdown talks with manager Arne Slot at the club’s AXA training headquarters.
· Nehanda RadioIts being reported that although their relationship has improved there still remain issues to be tackled and these have been left to the Liverpool hierarchy and Salah’s representative, Ramy Abbas.
Slot had addressed the issue at his press conference on Friday, admitting: “I will have a conversation with Mo. The outcome of that conversation determines how things will look [on Saturday]…
“What I need is a conversation with him and I think the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here.
“You can keep on trying but there is not much more to say about it [other than] that I speak to him today and, like I said, the outcome of that conversation determines how things will look tomorrow.”

He added: “We decided as a club – and I was part of that decision – not to take him to Milan.
“I am always in contact with them [sporting director Richard Hughes and chief executive Michael Edwards] but when it comes to the decision making of the line-up or the squad, they leave that open to me.”
Salah was omitted from the first-team squad for the Reds’ Champions League win over Inter Milan after his fiery interview following the 3-3 draw with Leeds. He has now been reinstated after meeting with Slot.
Salah is due to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Egypt soon after the Brighton game as speculation mounts over whether it will be his last game for Liverpool.
