The PlayStation Portal has officially received a highly anticipated Cloud Streaming update for PS5 games on November 5, exclusively for PlayStation Plus Premium members. This new functionality significantly expands where and how players can use the remote player.
Previously, the PS Portal required a continuous Remote Play connection to an active PS5 console. With the new Cloud Streaming feature, Premium members can now stream thousands of select digital PS5 games directly from their personal library via the cloud, including blockbusters like Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite, Ghost of Yōtei, Grand Theft Auto V and Resident Evil 4. This means PS Portal owners can now enjoy their games, even if their home PS5 is powered off or being used by another account.
The Cloud Streaming feature also extends to hundreds of compatible games in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog, featuring popular titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarök and The Last of Us Part II Remastered.
