Shakira Postpones North American Tour to Upgrade From Arenas to Stadiums

Shakira is pushing back her North American dates for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour to 2025, the singer announced on Friday, citing overwhelming demand and the need for larger venues.

Originally slated to start next month with stops in arenas all over the U.S. and Canada, Shakira confirmed that she will now be playing stadiums, with those dates set to start in May of 2025 after the Latin American shows. The new dates will be announced Monday, she said.

“Your incredible support since my tour announcement has truly been extraordinary, and it’s already making this the biggest tour of my career,” Shakira said on social media on Friday. “As Live Nation communicated earlier, the demand for tickets and more shows has reached the point that our tour now requires stadiums in the USA and more dates so I can see as many of you as possible.”

Shakira called the concert’s production “larger and unlike anything I’ve done before.”

“I know many of you made big efforts to be a part of these shows,” Shakira said. “Thank you so much for supporting me through this. Your understanding and love means the world to me and helps me to continue breaking barriers. I’ll be waiting for all of you with great anticipation. I promise to make it worth the wait and deliver the best show of my life!”

The stadium dates will mark Shakira’s first U.S. tour since the El Dorado world tour back in 2018. The upcoming trek comes amid another busy year for the icon. She shared the new song “Soltera” last month with a music video featuring Anitta, Winnie Harlow, Lele Pons, and Danna.
