Taylor Swift Scores First Emmy Nominations in Over 10 Years for ‘The Eras Tour: The Final Show’

Just days after tying the knot to Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift has scored a total of five Emmy nominations at the 78th Emmy Awards. This marks her first nods at the awards ceremony in more than a decade.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show is nominated for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), Best Directing for a Variety Special (Glenn Weiss), Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming, Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special, and Outstanding Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Special.

Swift’s concert film will battle comedy specials from Nikki Glaser and Dave Chappelle, the newly revived The Muppets Show, and the Wicked: One Wonderful Night concert special for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded).

Swift is in good musical company with her other nominations: Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX Halftime Show will go head-to-head with The Eras Tour: The Final Show in several technical categories, including directing, camerawork, sound mixing, and more.

The Eras Tour: The Final Show premiered on Disney+ in December 2025. The concert film chronicled the final stop of the Eras Tour at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver. Because Swift wrote and recorded The Tortured Poets Department while on tour, she revised the show’s run to include the new era, and The Eras Tour: The Final Show immortalizes the act on film.

“It was the End of an Era and we knew it,” she wrote on Instagram upon the film’s announcement. “We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.” The concert film was released alongside The End of an Era, a six-part documentary series which gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look into the massive tour and Swift’s personal life.

Swift won her first Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media — Original Interactive Program for AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience back in 2015. The interactive experience allowed Swifties to step into her “Blank Space” music video via a mobile app.
