Passport-wide HUAWEI Pura X View announced in China with 16:9.5 display, 6.68mm thin chassis and more
As rumoured, the HUAWEI Pura X View was officially released in China with a wide 16:9.5 display. Looking like half of a HUAWEI Pura X, the phone has a wide central pill-shaped rear camera hump with what appears to be quad cameras. Not many tech specs were revealed though, but the phone is surprisingly thin at 6.68mm despite the 7000 mAh battery it comes with and is available on pre-order in maroon, white, black and beige.
Not the full list of tech specs yet
Other tech specs that were revealed includes the fact that the Pura X View weighs in at 201g, has 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The display will also support up to 6500 nits brightness, 2232 x 1320 pixel resolution and 2160 Hz refresh rates. HUAWEI says they’ll reveal more on 28 August 2026 but there’s still no Malaysia release dates or Malaysia pricing details yet.
According to a report, the phone will come with a Kirin 9030s chipset and three 50MP rear cameras while the display could measure 6.39-inches. Of course, this has yet to be confirmed, so do take it with a pinch of salt.
If the HUAWEI Pura X View is basically half a HUAWEI Pura X should we expect it to also be half the price? This could make it about RM2250 but given the somewhat flagship features we’re expecting it to be a bit closer to RM3K and above. While it is the first single panel wide form factor smartphone to be released, we expect others to come out soon as well. Would you want one?
