Meta’s Edits app could get an AI assistant and a desktop version soon

Apparently, Meta is ready to make their video editing app, Edits, available on desktop. So, what makes it worth paying attention to?

Meta is aiming to be a more direct competitor to CapCut

For your information, it will further facilitate the cross-device editing process, in addition to becoming a more solid competitor to CapCut. After all, some users are also more comfortable editing on a desktop than on a mobile device.

However, Meta has not yet shared when Edits will be offered for desktop. To recap, Meta has made Edits widely available for Android and iPhone, allowing users to easily edit and then publish videos directly to Meta's platforms, such as Instagram and Facebook. Unfortunately, there are no Malaysia release dates yet for this feature.

Personally, we feel this is a welcome feature for content creators or video editors in Malaysia. As we mentioned previously, some people are more comfortable working on a desktop rather than a phone. What are your thoughts on the news? Feel free to leave your comments below.
