A more effective measure to monitor children

In parallel, Meta and TikTok have now said they will comply with the regulations, and will remove users under the age of 16. However, it is emphasized that implementation and enforcement will be difficult.

In Malaysia, the government is also considering banning the use of social media among users under the age of 16. However, it is still in its early stages, and it is not yet known how it will develop and when it will be fully enforced.
