2025 World Series Odds: Blue Jays Gain Ground on Dodgers with Game 4 Win

The Dodgers blew past the Yankees in the 2024 World Series, winning 4-1 to earn their second title in the past five years.

Will L.A. make it three in six years? Will Toronto win its first title since the early 90s?

Despite the World Series being tied at two games apiece, some could say the defending champion Dodgers have been getting outplayed.

Through four games, Toronto has outscored L.A. 23-17, and if not for a dramatic walk-off home run by Freddie Freeman in the 18th inning of Game 3, the Blue Jays were on the cusp of a 3-1 lead.

Said Game 3 was historic. It lasted six hours and 39 minutes before the Dodgers emerged with a 5-4 win. It was the second-longest World Series game in MLB history. And if you remember correctly, Freeman hit a walk-off grand slam in Game 1 of the Dodgers' five-game win over the Yankees in the 2024 World Series.

Game 4 was quite less dramatic, with the Dodgers scoring four in the seventh inning, a run that led to a 6-2 win. Shohei Ohtani allowed six hits in six innings, and was charged with four earned runs in the defeat.

Game 5 will take place Tuesday in L.A. It will be a rematch of Game 1 at the mound, with the Dodgers trotting out Blake Snell and the Blue Jays turning to Trey Yesavage.
