Jan Suraaj Party chief Prashant Kishor sustained a rib injury during a Bihar Badlaav Sabha roadshow in Ara on Friday. The injury occurred while he was walking through a crowd and was accidentally hit by a vehicle.
"He was hit by a vehicle while walking through the crowd. The injury is not serious. He is coming to Patna," said a source close to Kishor.
Following the incident, Kishor left for Patna to receive medical treatment. His condition is reported to be stable, and further updates are awaited.
In the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls, Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party has announced fielding candidates for all the 243 Assembly seats, making it a three-cornered contest along with the JD(U)-BJP alliance and the Mahagathbandhan.
The decision on this was taken as the party held the first-ever meeting of its national executive committee in Patna. It was decided that the candidates would be announced in phases, spread across four to five rounds.
The party will initially declare candidates for 40 reserved constituencies.
