Senior India batter KL Rahul began his tour of England in styles, hitting a classy century on DSay 1 of the 2nd unofficial Test match against England Lions. Rahul, patient at the start of his innings, reminded the watchers of his remarkable resilience from the tour of 2021. After playing 100 balls, Rahul really stepped on the gas in the second half of the lunch session, putting the Lions under incredible pressure.
Playing at Northampton, the batter completed his century in the early overs of the Tea session on Friday, June 6. Rahul completed his fifty in 102 balls, but then upped the ante while batting alongside Dhruv Jurel. Rahul scored at nearly run-a-ball against the English seamers, reaching his century in just 151 balls.
