Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra tied the knot with his partner, Himani Mor, in a dreamy private ceremony. The javelin superstar shared photos from the wedding on social media on Sunday, January 19.

Two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra tied the knot with his partner, Himani Mor, a former tennis player, in a dreamy private ceremony. The javelin superstar shared photos from the wedding on social media on Sunday, January 19.

"Started a new chapter of life with my family," Neeraj wrote in his social media post.

"Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after," he added.

Neeraj had kept the details about his wedding under wraps, and the first photos from his marriage took his fans on social media by surprise. Neeraj shared a heartwarming photo of his mother blessing him at the ceremony.

The wedding comes months after Neeraj Chopra won his second Olympic medal, a silver at the Paris Games. In 2021, Neeraj became the first Indian to win an individual gold medal in a track and field event at the Olympics.

WHO IS HIMANI MOR

Himani Mor is a former tennis player, who hails from Sonipat in Haryana. Himani played the sport during her college days at Miranda House - Delhi University in New Delhi. Himani pursued Sports Management at Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond, Louisiana. She also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Sports and Fitness Administration/Management at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire, United States.

Himani is pursuing a Master of Science from the Isenberg School of Management.

A graduate assistant at Amherst College in Massachusetts, United States, Himani Mor is also the team manager of the women's tennis team. The role involves coaching, venue management, recruiting, networking, training, sports administration, and strategic planning, according to her LinkedIn page. She also worked as a Business Development Executive between June and November 2022.

Wishes started pouring in after Neeraj made the news about his marriage public. Former cricketer Suresh Raina and actor Gajraj Rao were amongst the first ones to congratulate the former Olympic champion on his wedding.

"May your journey together be filled with beautiful memories and unwavering companionship," Raina said in a post on X.

Neeraj last competed on September 14 in the Diamond League Final. He finished second with a best throw of 87.86. Neeraj's season best came in the Lausanne Diamond League where he threw 89.49m. At the Paris Olympics, Neeraj threw 89.45m behind Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, who won gold with a best effort of 92.97m.
