Abhijeet Dipke's grandmother, 80, dies in Maharashtra after prolonged illness
Savitribai Shankar Dipke, grandmother of Abhijeet Dipke, died after a prolonged illness in Santuk Pimpri. Her death has left the Dipke family and the village in mourning ahead of her Sunday last rites.

Savitribai Shankar Dipke, the grandmother of Cockroach Janata Party founder and convener Abhijeet Dipke, died after a prolonged illness in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district. She was around 80 years old.
Savitribai breathed her last in Santuk Pimpri, the ancestral village of Abhijeet Dipke, where his grandparents lived. Her death has plunged the Dipke family and the village into mourning.
Dipke, along with Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, were detained from inside the aircraft by Delhi Police as soon as their flight landed in the national capital.
The CJP leaders had arrived here from Mumbai for their protest at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
His parents, who live at their residence, Shankar Sadan, in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, are preparing to leave for Santuk Pimpri following Savitribai’s death.
Dipke's uncle told the media that Savitribai’s last rites will take place on Sunday morning between 9.30 am and 10 am. Abhijit Dipke is also expected to attend the last rites in his native village.
