The Toxic pre-release event in Hyderabad turned into a commotion on Saturday night after a sound box setup collapsed near the crowd at Malla Reddy University, leaving two students injured. A young woman also reportedly lost consciousness following the incident. Actor Yash, who was addressing the gathering at the time, briefly paused his speech to check on the students and ensure safety.

The incident took place as Yash was addressing a large gathering of students and fans at the university. According to visuals from the event, some students had climbed onto poles supporting the sound boxes and other equipment, causing the heavy setup to collapse towards the crowd.

Two students were reportedly injured, while a girl reportedly lost consciousness. The injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Yash appeared to notice the commotion and immediately paused his speech to check on those affected. He asked the organisers about the students' condition before continuing with the event.

"Hey, careful. Is everything okay there? Please check, Sir. Please students, be careful," Yash was heard saying from the stage. He later noticed another group of students climbing onto a structure and urged them to come down. "Hey, please get down, please," he said, gesturing towards them.

A few minutes later, Yash again checked on the crowd, asking, "Is everything okay there now? Is everyone safe?" He resumed his speech after receiving confirmation from the organisers that the situation was under control.

The two injured students were reportedly taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance. The exact nature and severity of their injuries were not immediately known. A young woman was also reportedly found unconscious following the incident.

The event had drawn a large crowd to Malla Reddy University, with thousands of students gathering to see Yash. Reports said police had asked students to move back before the event amid concerns over overcrowding and the possibility of a stampede. However, several attendees reportedly remained close to the stage and climbed onto structures around the venue.

The incident occurred during a major promotional event for Toxic, which stars Yash in the lead role alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the gangster action drama has music by Charan Raj. Toxic has received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and is scheduled to release on August 26.
