Shatrughan questioned the circumstances surrounding the attack and described it as a serious matter in a post on X. He also tagged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in his post.
"What’s happening???? Yesterday’s shocking, worrying attacks, threats, targeting and firing on most loved star @TIGERSHROFF worthy son of the most worthy father @bindasbhidu. In fact Tiger was lucky to go unhurt, but his poor driver was injured badly. Honble CM, Maharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis & http://Dy.CM. @mieknathshinde seem to be extremely concerned on this serious matter. Jai Hind!," he wrote.
What happened during the firing incident?
The firing took place at around 7 pm on Sunday within the jurisdiction of Mumbai’s Juhu police station. According to preliminary police information, Tiger was leaving after a private event when unidentified men opened fire at his BMW.
The actor had played a football match earlier and was on his way home. Film producer Bunty Walia was present at the ground and had played alongside Tiger. Television actor Abhishek Bajaj was also there.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg confirmed that Tiger had not sustained any bullet injuries. However, his driver was injured in the firing, while another man was also hurt in the incident.
Preliminary information suggested that three men arrived on a motorcycle. While two allegedly opened fire, the third waited on the bike before the group fled the scene.
Videos circulating online appeared to show one of the men firing several rounds, while another seemingly attempted to fire. Footage recorded after the incident showed Tiger moving towards the driver's seat of his grey car and driving away.
Rahul Dholakia, Ranvir Shorey react to attack
Filmmaker Rahul Dholakia also raised questions about law and order in Mumbai following the incident. In a post on X, he criticised the alleged ease with which criminal groups operate and demanded accountability from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
“What kind of Law and order is this ?? The ones who are harmless are sent to jail - the ones who are criminals are shooting innocents on the street! A gangster who is in Jail openly threatens Bollywood and shoots at will - and we just allow fear to spread! Who is answerable??” he wrote.
Dholakia further questioned whether the authorities would address concerns about public safety in Mumbai, particularly in Juhu.
Actor Ranvir Shorey also expressed shock over the firing and hoped that Tiger and those around him were safe.
“Shocking, and disgusting! Hope everyone is safe, @iTIGERSHROFF @bindasbhidu! No mercy for the perpetrators, @MumbaiPolice! This is outrageous! (sic),” he wrote on X.
The incident has sparked concern among members of the film industry, with several voices questioning public safety and calling for action against those responsible.
