The TejRan fandom finally got its big moment. TV actor Karan Kundrra pulled off a full-blown surprise proposal for his actor-girlfriend, Tejasswi Prakash, on Desi Bling, Netflix’s Indian spin-off of Dubai Bling, which premiered on May 20. And yes, it was every bit as filmi as fans would expect: dramatic lights, a lavish waterfront set-up and Karan down on one knee asking, “Tejasswi Prakash, will you marry me?”

The actor-couple is yet to make the proposal Insta-official. However, the emotional moment quickly took over social media, with clips from the episode spreading across fan pages within minutes. TejRan supporters flooded platforms with edits, reactions and celebratory posts, turning the proposal into one of the biggest talking points surrounding the show’s launch.

For the grand gesture, Karan brought in the entire Desi Bling gang to help pull off the surprise. The proposal unfolded in the presence of cast members including Rizwan Sajan, Satish Sanpal, Adel Sajan, Sana Sajan, Tabinda Sanpal, Pamela Serena, Dyuti Parruck, Iryna Kinakh, Alizey Mirza, Lailli Mirza and Janvee Gaur.

How did Karan Kundrra propose Tejasswi Prakash?

When Tejasswi arrived at the venue, she was visibly stunned by the illuminated “Will You Marry Me?” display floating across the water.

Completely overwhelmed, Tejasswi said, “I am shivering. My hands are not going to stop.” She also reflected on the early days of their relationship and the scepticism they faced after meeting inside the Bigg Boss house.

"When we met, a lot had happened. When we came out, everyone said this relationship wouldn’t even last two weeks. Some people called me fake; others called you fake. It’s been four years now, and we’ve seen everything and been through everything together," she said.

The proposal became even more emotional when Karan opened up about how Tejasswi changed his understanding of love and commitment.

“‘Imperfectly perfect love story’, yeh tune hi term diya tha. Every year that I spent with you has changed the meaning of love for me. I never thought I would ever fall in love or commit. I want to thank you for bringing out the man in me, the man who has the guts to say, ‘This is it. It’s now and forever,’” he said.

His speech left Tejasswi teary-eyed as the cast cheered around them.
