Actor Siddharth is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, titled Miss You, which is releasing a week after Pushpa 2: The Rule. At a recent promotional event, the actor was asked about the release date of his film and if it is suitable to have a film released amid the grand craze around the Allu Arjun-starrer.

During the promotions of the Telugu version of Miss You Telugu in Hyderabad, Siddharth commented on the possibility of the two films competing for screen space since they are releasing around the same time. The actor responded, in a composed manner, "I don’t think about things that are not in my hands. My job is to make good films, and the audience will decide about the films. It is not my problem. If my film is good, it will succeed, no matter what."

With this statement, Siddharth expressed his unwavering belief in the power of content and the audience's ability to decide what works, emphasising that his focus remains on creating quality films, not on worrying about competition.

Siddharth also addressed the changes in the film industry since the mid-2000s, pointing at how the dynamics of theatre releases have shifted. He said, "Gone are the days when big movies would take away the screens. It used to happen in the mid-2000s. Today, it’s the people who decide what works. If my movie is liked, it will stay in theatres."

He elaborated, "If the audience connects with Miss You, it will be a success. They should be worried about their film, not me."

Siddharth, known for experimenting with different genres, returns to familiar ground with this romantic comedy. The film follows the unusual love story between his character, Vasu, and Ashika Ranganath’s Subbulakshmi. Directed by N Rajasekar, Miss You combines humour, romance, and drama, offering a refreshing contrast to the action-heavy blockbusters dominating the screen.

With music by Ghibran and cinematography by KG Venkatesh, it is set to hit the screens on November 29. Siddharth is also working on upcoming projects, including The Test, and a collaboration with Maaveeran producer Arun Viswa.
