Jaideep Ahlawat, Tabu bond over mutual admiration at Drishyam 3 launch

Jaideep Ahlawat and Tabu praised each other's work at the Goa launch of Drishyam: The Conclusion. Their first on-screen pairing sets up a fresh face-off in the franchise's final chapter.

Jaideep Ahlawat and Tabu will share the screen for the first time in Drishyam 3. At the trailer launch of the third film in the franchise in Goa, the two actors praised each other and spoke about their admiration for each other’s work.

Jaideep revealed that he has been a big fan of Tabu for a long time. When asked about his co-star, he said she was aware of how much he admired her, despite her initially refusing to admit it.

Tabu, in turn, spoke warmly about Jaideep and recalled calling him after watching his performance in Paatal Lok.

“Everybody knows how brilliant he is. I called him after watching Paatal Lok. Didn't I, Jaideep sir? And I had looked for his number. It had come during the pandemic and that was one of the very few shows I've watched in my life, and he's just brilliant,” she said.

Tabu also thanked Jaideep for the affection and appreciation he has shown towards her work, both directly and through others.

Drishyam: The Conclusion marks the first time Jaideep and Tabu will be seen together. While Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, Jaideep plays SP Crime Branch Rajveer Singh Tomar, a new police officer determined to uncover the truth surrounding the case.

Tabu reprises her role as Meera Deshmukh, adding another layer to the conflict as Vijay's past continues to catch up with him.

The film picks up from the events of Drishyam 2 and features a new story and screenplay. Prakash Raj, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor also return to the franchise. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is written by Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.

Drishyam: The Conclusion is produced by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios and is scheduled to release in cinemas on October 2, 2026.
