Maruti Suzuki India Limited has recorded its highest-ever export performance in FY2025-26, shipping 4,47,774 units overseas, reinforcing its position as India’s leading passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year.

The milestone comes as part of a strong overall financial performance, with the automaker contributing nearly 49 percent of India’s total passenger vehicle exports. The surge in overseas shipments highlights the growing global demand for Maruti Suzuki’s made-in-India models, alongside the company’s expanding international footprint.

The e Vitara, the brand’s first battery electric vehicle has already reached 44 countries. This marks a significant step in Maruti Suzuki’s electrification journey, while also strengthening India’s role as a global manufacturing hub for next-generation mobility solutions.

The company’s export momentum complemented its record-breaking annual sales of 2.42 million units in FY2025-26, with domestic volumes at 1.97 million units. Despite strong demand, production constraints remained a challenge, reflected in a pending order book of around 1,90,000 units at the end of the financial year.

In the January–March quarter alone, exports touched an all-time high of 1,37,215 units, further underlining the sustained demand across international markets. This performance was supported by improved supply chain stability and strategic market expansion.

With consistent export growth, a widening global presence, and the introduction of electric models like the e Vitara, Maruti Suzuki continues to strengthen its position not just as a domestic leader, but as a key exporter driving India’s automotive ambitions on the global stage.
