Eyeballs missing, chopping wound, reveals autopsy of kidnapped Manipur infant
The latest autopsy report from Silchar Medical College and Hospital revealed that a 10-month-old boy named Laishram Lamnganba had both eyeballs missing from the sockets and his body in a state of thawing with a chopping wound and dislocation of the head.

Chilling details have emerged from the autopsy reports of six members of a family whose bodies were found floating in a river in Manipur a few days ago. While the eyeballs of a 10-month-old and that of a woman were missing, multiple bullet injuries were seen on an eight-year-old girl. The Meitei family was allegedly kidnapped and killed by Kuki-Zo militants in Manipur's Jiribam district.
The latest autopsy report from Silchar Medical College and Hospital revealed that a 10-month-old boy named Laishram Lamnganba had both eyeballs missing from the sockets and his body in a state of thawing with a chopping wound and dislocation of the head. Upon arrival at the mortuary on November 17, the infant was found wearing a T-shirt and vest, but his body was in a state of decomposition, officials added.
Besides, an eight-year-old girl named Telen Thajanganbi suffered extensive injuries and abdominal injuries due to bullets. Telem Thoibi, a 31-year-old woman, suffered bullet injuries with crushing of the scalp, apart from damaged skull bones and missing membranes.
The disturbing details related to the woman, the girl and the infant were made public on Wednesday, days after the autopsy report of three other members of the same family was released. Their bodies were recovered from the Barak river, which flows from Jiribam district in Manipur to Cachar in south Assam.
PREVIOUS AUTOPSY REPORT
As per the earlier autopsy report of the three other members of the family, three-year-old Chingkheinganba Singh, L Heitonbi Devi (25) and Y Rani Devi (60) also suffered grievous injuries. The report of Chingkheinganba Singh showed that his right eye was missing, and he had a bullet wound in the skull.
As per officials, the report also suggested cut wounds, chest fractures, and lacerations on the forearm and other parts of his body.
The report also talked about injuries suffered by Singh's mother, L Heitonbi Devi, who had three bullet wounds in the chest and one in the buttock. Her body was received by SMCH on November 18, seven days after her death.
Y Rani Devi, the child's grandmother, suffered five bullet wounds, one in the skull, two in the chest, one in the abdomen, and one in an arm. Her body was brought to the hospital for autopsy on November 17, three to five days after her death, the report said.
The autopsy reports also revealed deep lacerations on many parts of the bodies of the two women.
The six people, all from the same family and belonging to the Meitei community, had gone missing from a relief camp in Jiribam after a gunfight between security forces and suspected Kuki-Zo militants that resulted in the deaths of 10 militants on November 11.
AUTOPSY OF TWO MEITEIS
Apart from the six family members, two men, the autopsy report of two other persons, Laisram Baren Meitei (64) and Maibam Kesho (71), was also made publich.
They also received multiple injuries due to torture. The autopsy report of Maibam Kesho revealed that his forearm and right-hand skin were peeled off with a mixed flame burn. A greenish bruise with erosion of skin present over the lateral of the right buttock was also found.
The report of Laishram Baren Meitei revealed deep burns on the whole body, front and back, with the cooked appearance of soft tissue, abdominal and thoracic viscera along with vertebral column and spinal cord.
His report revealed skull bones burnt and found separated into pieces, with the whole face and inner part of the oral cavity charred.
